Success is in sight. Our machines have managed to open the gates by fitting the three keys correctly. But the aliens have another security checkpoint which we must complete to get into the structure. It appears to be a seven-segment display pattern which has to be traversed only along the correct paths. One wrong step, and our entire investment could go up in an explosion. Can your autonomous machine think by itself and figure out how to complete this task ?
Gameplay:
- A single robot will start from the beginning of the track from S1.
- The robot should follow the silver line track at all times(width of the silver tape= 1.3cms) starting from S1.
- Clues to the robot will be given in form of mirrors(4cmsx2cms).
Robot should solve the given binary information such that if mirror is present on left side it will indicate “1”{high} or if mirror is present on right side it will indicate “0”{low} and must travel the given number solved from that binary information {mirror} on seven segment track. The 1st mirror is MSB and last LSB.The number will be between 0 to 9 (both inclusive).The presence of mirror on left and right is mutually exclusive.
- After fetching the number the robot should follow the track according to the number formats as follows:
a. The robot should travel all the segments shown in the number format of the fetched number.
b. It should not enter any invalid segment.(A segment is invalid if it is not shown in the number format of the fetched number.)
c. The robot may retrace a path in its course of travelling to avoid invalid segments.
- Similarly after tracking the number from S1 side , robot should reach the S2 (again it should not go through invalid segments—see logic of game)and start again same procedure as followed in S1.
- Width of the line track is 1.3cm.
- The central axis of the mirrors are placed at 7cms from the centre of the silver line track All Mirrors are 4X2 cms.
- Each machine gets 3 chances. The time for the least of the three chances will be considered.
